| Grand Jete Dance Companies Our Dance Team is a performance ensemble that gives talented and dedicated students exposure to cclasses with top masters and competitive dance. Membership is by audition or invitation. How will your dancer benefit by being a Dance Team member? *Exposure to world-renowned teachers and choreographers. *Additional performance opportunities at local venues *Classes with teachers and choreographers. The Dance Team is an Elite group of dancers who are not only talented, but are great role models and leaders for the studio and the community. *Who is eligible for the Company? Students 8 and up are welcome to try out for one of our companies. Memberships are by audition and/or invitation only. *What is involved in the Dance Co.? We are mainly focused on performing. 1-There are 3-4 local venues the students will be performing at. There is one performance a month from Feb-April/May. 2-The students will take part in 2 friendly competitions, one locally and one near King of Prussia. 3-In January members will attend an amazing convention called “The Pulse” This will be in NJ and will require one night of sleeping over. It is two fun filled days of dancing with the top choreographers in the country! *What about Company fees? During our tryouts there will be a meeting for all the parents to discuss the fees and further details. There is a dance company fee to pay for their competition fees, LVDA Class, warm-ups, etc. We break it down into small monthly payments from Sept-June, which should only be about $15/month. *Does my child have to take any other classes along with the company class? Yes, students must take at least one ballet class a week. This can include a combo class or solo classes. Also, the dance team class in the summer for the 6 week session What is expected of me as a parent? All parents are responsible for travel arrangements and hotel accommodations. This is not only a commitment for students but also for the parents to be sure students get to venues, competitions etc. A supportive dedicated parent makes the company experience an enjoyable one. |

When does the convention start?
The convention starts early on Saturday morning and will end Sunday evening. The exact schedule and
times are not available yet.
How do I get the bands for the student and observer?
Be sure to order them with Miss Amanda by August 15th. Bands and Convention fee must be paid by the
15th inorder to secure your spot.
I will pick up the registration packet for the studio at the convention Friday. You do not need to be there
Friday. When you get to the convention Call me 610-393-5225 and I will meet you to hand you the
observer bands and bands for the students.
When should I make the reservation for the hotel?
Make your reservations ASAP, this is a huge convention and the hotel books up fast. You do not need to
stay th the host hotel, but they offer the discounted rate for the pulse. If the hotel is booked ask them to
recomend another one for you that is close.
What should the girls bring?
Dance clothes and shoes, Dance team warmups for the group photo with the faculty. Warm dance layers,
it tends to be cold in the convention.
