| June 2008 Newsletter Dear Parents and Guardians, Thank you all for a spectacular year. We appreciate your dedication to your children, we know how busy you all are, and to come week after week so that they can learn and enjoy themselves is wonderful. It has been a pleasure teaching each and every student. Come try out for one of our Dance Teams on Saturday, September 6th at 2pm. Before the auditions we will have a meeting with all interested parents to go over the detail... Some of this info is also on the website. Are you ready for Summer? GJD has scheduled an amazing summer program with fun filled camps and classes. Take this opportunity to try a new class, brush up on technique or work on your strength and flexibility. We have 6 week sessions and camps. Space is limited so register now! Calling all Moms... Moms... Take some time for yourselves, you deserve it... Try a beginners Adult Fun Hip-hop class. Learn some dance moves while working out and having fun! | Parade Info Dear Parents, I know some of you have expressed interest in participating in the Boscov's Parade this year. Students must be 8 and up to participate. There will be a $25 Registration fee, all students will receive the all new custom 2008 Parade Sweatshirt, which will be used as the costume for the production. We will receive more information in August, however if you would like to make travel arrangements and hotel accommodations early here is the following information you will need... Hotel info: Ask for the Reservations Department. Sheraton Philadelphia City Center 1800-325-3535 17th and Race Streets, Philadelphia Reservation Code: TDK26A$85/night + 14% tax Crowne Plaza (Miss Amanda is staying there) 1866-618-0410 18th and Market Streets, Philadelphia Reservation Code: TDP Parents$85/night + 14% tax Holiday Inn 215-923-8660 400 Arch Street, Philadelphia Reservation Code: TDPTAP$79/night + 14% tax You do not need a hotel but it may be easier as there will be a lot of traffic the day of the parade and the parade starts at 7:30am also there is a rehearsal the night before ending at 8:30pm. Sunday, November 23rd there is a choreography/cleaning rehearsal from 4-5:30pm, the location of that is TBA. Wednesday the 26th there will be a rehearsal from 7:30pm-8:30pm. at the Philadelphia Measeaum of Art.The parade day is November 27th at 7:30am. The parade will take place Rain, snow or shine!
